به معنی جبران سازی نور پس زمینه که همانطور که از اسم ان مشخص اس برای بالابردن کیفیت تصویر در شرایط خاص نوری است. زمانی که اختلاف نوری زیاد در یک تصویر باشد،مثل در ورودی یک سالن تاریک،این قابلیت با باز کردن دیافراگم به نسبت قسمت تاریک سالن و نادیده گرفتن نور در ورودی تصویر را بهبود می بخشد و امکان دیده شدن سالن را به وجود می اورد
